Malaysia: Trader to hang over 61kg ganja

KUANTAN: The High Court yesterday sentenced to death a trader who was
found guilty of trafficking 61.159kg of cannabis more than four years ago.

Judge Datuk Heliliah Mohd Yusoff passed the sentence on Ibrahim
Sulaiman, 46, of Kelantan, who had committed the offence in front of the
Petronas service station in Balok Makmor near here on Dec 1 2002.

Ibrahim did not show any reaction when the sentence was handed down, but
family members, including his parents, broke down.

Ibrahim was represented by counsel Bob Arumugam while Deputy Public
Prosecutor Rosli Mohd Sham prosecuted. – Bernama
