Algeria: Drug trafficker Zendjabil Abdelkder jailed in Saida

Zendjabil Abdelkader, drug trafficking baron is imprisoned at a jail in
Saida province, southern Algeria; he has been sentenced to 20 years,
after a sentence issued against him in absentia following the 13
hundredweight of cannabis seized in the western borders, a source within
National Gendarmerie Command, indicated, adding that his brother, Mr.
Ahmed Zendjabil is on the run.

The defendant has been arrested by the Gendarmerie brigade at Hassi
Mameche municipality in Mostaganem province last week. He was on the run
after the magistrate of Bougteb court, El Bayedh province, southern
Algeria, issued a warrant of arrest against him, at the same time his
brother, Ahmed Zendjabil, the famous drug traffickers countrywide, still
on the run altogether with Laraba Ziane Abdelkader, nicknamed Pascal,
who is considered as the mastermind of Zendjabil’s drug trafficking.
“Zendjabil is not a nickname for hiding the trafficker’s identity but it
is the true name of the brothers” said the same source.
