Malaysian court sentences Indonesians to hang for drug trafficking
Earth Times Tuesday 30 Jun 2009 "Only one punishment is given for this crime, so the both of you will be hanged," the high court judge was quoted as saying by the Malay-language Berita Harian daily. The duo, who come from Indonesia's Aceh province, had failed to stop their car when asked by police in September 2007. Following a high-speed chase, the Indonesians' car crashed and both men ran out of their vehicle and dived into a nearby river. However, police managed to arrest them shortly after. Despite Malaysia's tough drug laws, drug trafficking and addiction has been on the rise in recent years. http://www.earthtimes.org/
