UK: Campaigners plan Reading cannabis protest picnic
BBC News Wednesday 14 Aug 2013 Hundreds of campaigners plan to risk prosecution by smoking cannabis in one of Berkshire's biggest open spaces in a bid to get the drug laws changed. A group calling for the drug to be legalised has organised a protest picnic at Kings Meadow in Reading next month. One of the organisers, Clark French from the Berkshire Cannabis Community group, has the neurological condition multiple sclerosis and uses the drug to ease his symptoms. But Mr French said the event is open to anyone - not just those who want the drug legalised for medicinal purposes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-23705076
