UK: Letter: Alcohol is the Bigger Problem Mick Hardy Evening News, Norwich Friday 06 Sep 2013 On the same page there is an article about alcohol-fuelled violence on Prince of Wales Road and a peaceful protest by cannabis campaigners in Chapelfield Park. Maybe if there were a few Dutch-style coffee shops interspersed with the clubs on Prince of Wales road, Norwich would be a more peaceful place in the evenings and weekends. I've never heard of cannabis-fuelled violence, have you? It's a natural thing for people to want to experience different states of consciousness and we all do that every time we have a dream, don't we? Only last week you published an article about wasps getting “stoned” in someone's garden and every cat owner knows how some cats like to get high on catnip. The only reason cannabis is illegal is because it encourages people to think a bit more. The authorities prefer us to remain Mick Hardy, Haslips Close, Norwich http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk
