UK: Letter: Disgusted at sentence

I READ the article on Neil Morgan (Post, May 18) in utter disgust at the system that we currently have to live under, a system that takes away peaceful people's liberty and freedom

What is the purpose of imprisoning people for growing cannabis for their own good?

Unlike the consumption of alcohol, which is a poison to every system in the body and is responsible for much physical damage to property and other people, Is it helping or damaging people giving them a criminal record for such a harmless act?

Surely to be a crime there has to be a victim, the money it costs to keep these people imprisoned is a criminal act and a misuse of public money.
