Seeking support for cannabis

Evening News, Norwich, April 8, 1992

In response to your election story (Evening News, March 27) "Gone to pot", we would like to confirm that we did select a candidate for both Norwich North and Norwich South.

We did this because of the complete lack of response from the majority of MPs to our inquiries regarding their policies on the legalisation of cannabis.

We later decided that our candidates would not stand, in reaction to the media's claim that the margin between the main parties was very narrow and that we did not wish to interfere in the election of the next Government. We seek only a voice for our campaign.

These decisions were carefully considered and are not the result of having "Gone to pot."
