Pub LTE: Doctors in these states just can't win

DOCTORS IN THESE STATES JUST CAN'T WIN.

Our congratulations to Californians who recently voted to support Proposition 215, and the Arizonians who passed Proposition 200, thus legalising the medicinal supply of marijuana (cannabis) in those states.

For too long sick people have been deprived of this remarkable preventative and curative plant.

But, although doctors in those states can now prescribe cannabis, there remain complications.

One would have to be suffering from certain ailments to get it. This means that cannabis will still not be used as a preventative medicine.

Those wishing to use cannabis as a recreational relaxant are still subject to arrest and incarceration, as are those who regard cannabis as a sacrament.

Only if cannabis, that harmless and beneficial plant, is fully restored to its pre-prohibition status will the real money-motivated repression of cannabis be stopped.

There is though, a further problem in the States. The FBI has said that any doctor prescribing or supplying cannabis will be prosecuted. If doctors prove true to their oaths, they are bound to provide the best treatment.

They are now going to be torn between their oaths and the Federal Law.
