I WISH to congratulate the BBC and Judge Pickles for the very honest and intelligent programme concerning the legalisation of drugs.

To hear such truths from learned people and to hear the evidence as all cannabis smokers have always known it, was amazing.

I've heard the words spoken hundreds of times and said them all myself but never had the platform that charming Judge Pickles had - and he was brilliant!

I really hope that others listen and the hypocrisy surrounding cannabis disappears, along with the right that drug squads have to smash down the doors of those who are quietly smoking it inside their family homes.

I applaud the sincerity with which that programme is made and I hope we hear more of Judge Pickles and his views.

I'd rather listen to him talk about cannabis than about women, any day, although I'd love to get the chance to discuss them with him - he seems to be an interesting man with a candour not normally noted from other judges.
