About 60 people attended a pro-cannabis political party's annual conference at the weekend.
Twenty people put forward their names to stand in constituencies around the UK at the event at the University of East Anglia.
Patricia Tabram, of Humshaugh in Northumberland, better known as Grandma Pat, the outspoken pensioner who openly bakes cannabis, made a speech.
Press officer Don Barnard, who will be fighting for Norwich South MP Charles Clarke's seat in the General Election, said: "I was enthused by the quality of speeches. Not talking about cannabis is not going to stop the problem.
