LEGALISE Cannabis alliance candidate tom Hampson believes he will be the voice
for the frustrated non-voters in Leigh who have become disillusioned with
main-stream politics.
Mr Hampson is adamant more could be done to improve the environment and public
services in the town and he has vowed to address these issues if he is elected
as Leigh MP.
Mr Hampson said: "Being born and brought up in Leigh I have seen a lot of
changes over the last 30 years, but not many changes have been for the benefit
of the people of Leigh.
"How many of us wanted our parks in Leigh to be left unmanned and free for
kids to destroy, how many wanted our A & E Department, to shut, our baths,
our cinema and our magistrates court to close?
"I come from the biggest majority in the country at election time: the
non-voter. So to stand for the LCA in election not only gives me the
chance to expose the truth about the many benefits possible from legalising and
utilising cannabis, but offer a voice to many people in society like myself who
have never voted for the simple reason there is never any choice from the
outdated political parties and their narrow-minded politics."
