Canada: GW launches cannabis spray

Sativex, an under-the-tongue spray that is the first approved prescription
medicine derived from cannabis, was launched on Monday in Canada by GW
Pharmaceuticals for treating pain in multiple sclerosis sufferers.

The launch comes a fortnight after UK regulators rejected an appeal by the
company that would have allowed it to market Sativex in the UK without more
clinical trials. The delay has hit GW shares hard.
