A WELSHMAN left disabled following a car crash says cannabis helps to
target his crippling kidney pain.

Fifty-two-year-old Chris from Abergavenny lost the use of his lower legs
after a horror road smash when he was 22.

Today, he battles against spinal pain and kidney trouble which leaves him
reeling in pain.

"I have been using cannabis for five years and my doctor supports me," said
Chris.

"I inhale the drug through a chamber and it helps to relieve my kidney pain.

" I spend about UKP 25 a week on the drug but it's worth it. A spinal
consultant had no problems after I told him I had started taking cannabis.
He told me to carry on.

"Taking cannabis gives me instant pain relief. I am not bothered about
breaking the law.

"The police would look silly if they took me to court."
