UK: Police raid home of cannabis cook, 66
Martin Wainwright The Guardian
Tuesday 20 Sep 2005 Patricia Tabram, 66, who supplied friends with casseroles, soups and cakes incorporating cannabis, was raided yesterday by police who confiscated four plants. Mrs Tabram, of Hexham, who was given a six-month suspended sentence last year, had insisted that the drug dealt with back pain and depression better than conventional treatments. Yesterday she said: "I've never successfully grown a cannabis plant - the leaves of these were starting to go brown and die. But I don't want to have to go to a local criminal for my supply. I'm just an old, grey, tubby grandma but I'm going to fight this."
