Letter: Who has the right to stand in judgement?

T. Smith, Legalise Cannabis Alliance

Evening News, Norwich, UK

Wednesday 02 Feb 2000

-----
HOW CAN anyone who loves and cares as much as J. Hutt obviously does,
say in one breath that they love their child and, in the next, say that
someone else's son or daughter should die because they are addicted to
something?

Whether it be drugs or alcohol does not matter, what does matter is that
someone somewhere loves these people.

All I can really say is it is good for J. Hutt and the rest of us that
we do not all feel the same way - where would we draw the line?

Just because someone is addicted to drink or drugs does not mean that
they are bad people.

No one wants to be an addict and it can happen to anyone on this planet.

Even the Royal Family has had its problems in the past. Who has the
right to judge?

The truth is no one has the right, unless you think you are God.

It is like the saying: "When they came for the Jews, I did nothing, when
the came for the communists, I did nothing, when they came for me there
was no one left to do anything."
