UK: Cannabis man: Order is revoked
Gloucester Echo Saturday 04 Feb 2006 A Cheltenham man who runs a website promoting cannabis has had his community order revoked because he has made such a success of working for the public. Julian Heeks, 37, of Cowl Lane, Winchcombe, was sentenced to 100 hours' community work and given a two-year community rehabilitation order in November last year after police found 44 cannabis plants growing. Heeks admitted growing cannabis, two charges of supplying it and one of making an offer to supply. Probation officer Sian Worrall told a judge a Gloucester Crown Court Heeks had made good enough progress that the rehabilitation order be revoked. Judge Jamie Tabor QC agreed to revoke the remaining community rehab part of the order. He said: "He's done very well indeed and has always turned up, except when he's been unwell." http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/
