UK: Arthritic OAP facing jail over cannabis plants

Wednesday 08 Feb 2006 Cheshire: An arthritis sufferer is facing a jail sentence after police found he was growing 20 cannabis plants in his home. Leslie Williams, 73, of Runcorn, admitted growing them to relieve pain. Williams received a police caution for a similar offence last year, Runcorn magistrates heard. The magistrates sent him to crown court for sentencing.
