BBC News

Tuesday 14 Feb 2006

----
A grandmother accused of growing cannabis plants is to go on trial.

Patricia Tabram, 66, is charged with the cultivation of cannabis
following a raid on 16 September 2005 at her home in East Lea,
Humshaugh, near Hexham.

Mrs Tabram denied the charge at an earlier hearing and elected to be
tried before a crown court jury.

Magistrates in Hexham, in Northumberland, on Tuesday committed her for
trial and she will appear at Newcastle Crown Court on 15 March.
