Spain: Another drugs haul on an Almeria beach

Almería’s Civil Guard have made another big drugs haul on the coast,
this time in Mojácar.
It happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning, when a boat was
spotted approaching Las Granatillas beach. 2.8 tons of cannabis had been
unloaded by the time officers reached the beach.

The boat and its crew managed to make their escape, as did most of the
people who were unloading the cannabis. A 31 year old Moroccan man was
the only person taken into custody.

This latest haul brings the amount of cannabis seized on Almería beaches
up to 6,300 kilos in just two days. A total of 6 people have been
arrested in the two operations.
