Eire: Cannabis worth EUR3m seized in Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have seized a half a tonne of cannabis estimated to be
worth up to €3 million.

A loaded gun was also found in a follow-up search. Two men, aged 40 and
25 respectively, are being questioned about the find.

The drugs were found by detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit
near a roundabout off the M50 motorway.

A van and an articulated truck in which the drugs were trafficked have
also been seized.

It is believed the drugs were being brought in by a north Dublin
criminal gang.
