UK: Gran To Face Drugs Charge After Raid

Thursday 23 Mar 2006 A grandmother will appear in court today after a drugs raid at her home. Patricia Tabram, 66, is to attend Newcastle Crown Court charged with the cultivation of cannabis. Police had raided her home, in East Lea, Humshaugh, near Hexham, on September 16. The pensioner is expected to enter a plea to the charge during a hearing in front of Judge David Hodson, The Recorder of Newcastle. Tabram, had been committed to the crown court by Tynedale magistrates after denying the charge and electing to be tried by jury.
