Australia: Cannabis crop found
Donnybrook Bridgetown Mail
Thursday 30 Mar 2006 TWENTY-FIVE mature aged cannabis plants were found by police in bush land near Nannup on Thursday afternoon. Many of the plants were in advanced stages of growth with most being over 1.8 metres in height and were probably due to be harvested in the near future. The street value was estimated at over $25,000. Senior Constable Chris Fox said "several pieces" of evidence found at the scene have been sent for forensic testing. "Once results have been received, there is a real possibility the people tending the plants will be identified," he said. Further investigations are underway.
