UK: Police on-line drugs warning
Welwyn and Hatfield Times
Wednesday 29 Mar 2006 PARENTS are being warned to check their credit card bills after the shocking findings of a drugs investigation. A WGC policeman managed to order drugs online and was surprised at how easy it was. But amazingly the class A delivery was sent to Inspector Nigel Dalkin at WGC Police Station. He ordered both cocaine from Panama and class C cannabis from Amsterdam. Insp Dalkin said: "I used my wife's Marks & Spencer charge card to buy it. "I honestly thought I would be OK with the cannabis because it's not illegal to export. "But I was shocked by the cocaine." Insp Dalkin who has been involved in the rehabilitation of drug offenders for four months was researching how easy it was to get hold of illegal substances. He warned that parents should keep an eye on their credit card bills as he bought the cannabis for under £15. He added they should also be vigilant of sales from Holland and Germany and watch for larger sums originating in South American countries.
