Scotland: Cannabis Gang Get 16 years

Friday 21 Apr 2006 A GANG was jailed for a total of 16 years yesterday after a huge haul of cannabis was seized in Fife. Police recovered more than 1300 "soap bars" of resin -weighing 330 kilos and worth an estimated £660,000 - at houses in High Valleyfield. They also found cocaine and bundles of money after a surveillance operation which started in June 2004. Michael Henderson, 48, of Bute Crescent, Dunfermline, Fife, was jailed for six years for supplying cannabis and speed. Colin Salmond, 22, and Keith Ferguson, 41, of High Valleyfield, were each jailed for four years for supplying drugs. Brian Fletcher, 35, of Snowdon Lane, Liverpool, was found guilty of supplying cannabis at a service area near the Kincardine Bridge in May 2004.
