Morocco: Athletes fail dope tests
news24.com
Monday 24 Apr 2006 Rabat - Five players from Morocco's Olympic team have been suspended after failing dope tests, a source close to the Moroccan football federation (FRMF) said on Sunday. The FRMF announced the suspensions but refused to divulge the names of the players involved. It is understood, however, that two players are members of the Raja Casablanca club, with the others playing for Wydad Casablanca, Ittihad Tanger and Moghreb Fes. The tests were carried out at the squad's training camp in April. All five tested for a derivative of cannabis resin. Another source said that the players were Hicham Idrissi al Amrani and Zakaria Jouhari of Raja, Yassine Zocho (Wydad), Abderahmane Mssassi (Moghreb Fes) and Mourad Atta (Ittihad Tanger).
