UK: Two men quizzed following drugs raid
Thisisessex
Monday 26 Jun 2006 Two men quizzed following drugs raid Three people were today being quizzed by police after officers discovered hundreds of cannabis plants on a south Essex farm. More than 400 plants, as well as quantities of what police believe to be quantities of crack cocaine and amphetamine paste, were found during a raid on a farm in Fobbing on Sunday morning. The drugs, as well as a selection of hydroponic growing equipment, were taken away to be tested. Investigating officer Insp Keith Dobson said the raid had been sparked following an anonymous tip-off. He said: "We received some information via Crimestoppers which led us to carry out Sunday morning's raid, and it looks to have paid off, with potentially a lot of drugs set to never make it on to the county's streets." Two men, aged 37 and 52, and a 42-year-old woman - all from the Grays area - were arrested and questioned at Grays police station on suspicion of possession of class A and C drugs with intent to supply. Officers carried out a detailed forensic search of the farm on Monday morning. http://www.thisisessex.co.uk/
