(AGI) - Rome, June 26 - Livia Turco with the decision to raise the
maximum quantities of cannabis possession is "a symbolic action, which
underlined something of more cultural than legislative value." Thus
commented social solidarity minister, Paolo Ferrero, on the initiative
of the health minister. Livia Turco's decision - underlined Ferrero -
"opens a truthful debate on the danger of the substances. And then it
talks of drugs in the plural. To talk of drugs in the singular, indeed
creates the danger of a cannabis cigarette and a crack being reduced to
the same thing in the minds of the young. It is a truthful discourse on
the effective danger of the substances."
