UK: Million pound drug factory found
BBC News
Monday 24 Jul 2006 Cannabis plants worth more than £1m have been seized from two suspected drug factories in Wiltshire. Police discovered the first cache when they called at a house in Okebourne Park, Liden, Swindon, as part of an unrelated inquiry on Saturday. The following day, officers went to a home in the town's Haydon Street, where they found more plants and equipment. A man and a woman have been charged with producing Class C drugs. Four other people have been arrested. Thi Song Nguyen, 28, Tung Minh Pham, 20, were remanded in custody when they appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Monday. Sealed off Detectives are continuing to question three people - a 27-year-old man and two women aged 24 and 26 - who were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the production of cannabis when police stopped a car in Rodbourne Road on Sunday evening. They are also quizzing a 32-year-old man arrested in Penzance Drive on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. Officers are continuing to examine the two houses, which have been sealed off. Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police or Crimestoppers. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/wiltshire/5211250.stm
