UK: Police find cannabis factory during hunt for burglars

POLICE stumbled upon a cannabis factory at a house in Broadgreen after
investigating reports of a break-in by youths.

Officers were called to the address in Gourley Road shortly after
midnight yesterday.

When they arrived at the house, which was empty, police discovered the
cannabis-growing factory in the upstairs part of the

property. Although no cannabis was discovered, police believe the system
was set up to grow the plant.

Detective Inspector Lol Forrest, of Merseyside police, said:
"Drug-related offences blight the lives of people living in our
communities, and we are committed to taking positive action against
offenders."

No arrests have been made in connection with the discovery.
