Nepal: Police arrest three people with 126 kg hashish

Tuesday 26 Sep 2006 A team of the Narcotic Drug Control Law Enforcement Unit (NDCLEU) arrested three people with 126 kg of hashish from Kathmandu on Friday. A press statement issued by the NDCLEU on Tuesday said, acting upon a tip off, a police team arrested them and recovered the hashish hidden in a white TATA mobile van with registration number BAA 2 CHA 5676 from ward number 5 of Badbhanjayang village development committee (VDC) of Kathmandu district. Those arrested people include Janak Tamang of Kiranchowk VDC ward number 4 of Dhading, Bir Bahadur Tamang of Baireni VDC ward number 9 and Suman Tamang of Kiranchowk Bange of the same district. The statement further said, NDCLEU is conducting further interrogation into the case. nepalnews.com
