UK: Police raid suspected drugs home

Wednesday 01 Nov 2006 POLICE officers discovered a living room had been converted into an indoor garden full of cannabis plants during a raid in the city today (November 1). The discovery was made by a team of eight officers after they smashed down the door of a rented property in Lawn Avenue, Dogsthorpe, at 7am. They seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £50,000. The floor of the front room was covered wall-to-wall in soil. 08.55am: POLICE raided a house in the Dogsthorpe area of Peterborough this morning (November 1) and discovered what is believed to be cannabis plants growing inside. Residents were woken by several police cars and officers outside the house at about 7am.
