UK: Drug in Bra Gran Jailed

A GRANNY who hid a packet of cannabis in her bra and gave it to her son
in prison was yesterday jailed for 15 months.

Stafford crown court heard a guard saw Edna Arthur, 74, pass the package
over. She had more concealed in her bra.

After questioning at Stafford prison she said her son Alan had been "fed
up and needed something".

Just three months ago, Arthur, of Coventry, received a suspended jail
sentence for supplying heroin and cannabis.

Judge Paul Glen told her: "You chose to ignore the inevitable
consequences of supplying drugs again."
