---
A POLICE operation targeting drugs and knives has resulted in six arrests.

Drug sniffer dogs and security wands were used to scan passengers at
Crystal Palace station last month.

A 23-year-old man from Hurstbourne Road, Lewisham, was arrested and
cautioned for having a "significant" amount of cannabis on him.

Five others were wanted on warrant for failing to appear at court.

An additional 12 people were also cautioned for possession of drugs.

Although no weapons were recovered, all the drugs were confiscated and
destroyed.

Sergeant Neil Sawyer from Bromley police's borough support unit said:
"This operation is reinforcing the message we are targeting people who
bring drugs and knives into the borough.

"We will not tolerate this type of criminality."
