Netherlands: Cannabis Pharmacy Opens

The world's first cannabis pharmacy opens in the Netherlands.

The pharmacy is located in the northern Dutch town of Groningen. It
opened its doors to the public in January.

The pharmacy offers bags of dried marijuana to people who suffer from
diseases and ailments including multiple sclerosis, cancer and AIDS and HIV.

Due to widespread use of cannabis as a recreational drug, its legal use
or licensed use in medicine is now controversial in many countries.
