UK: Cannabis gets stronger
Daily Record Monday 12 Feb 2007 MORE potent varieties of cannabis are available in the UK now than when Cameron was at Eton-because more of the ovedrugis grown indoors. Some reports suggest modern forms of the drug are 10oreven 20 times stronger than those available in the 70s.The strength of cannabis is measured by the amount of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)in it. It's estimated that the average THCcontent in the UK is eight per cent. But in Holland, where half of all cannabis is produced indoors, the figure is around 16per cent. Growing indoors is known to boost TH concentrations threefold. Growing techniques and cross-fertilisation can produce stronger hybrid varieties such as skunk. Home-grown cannabis accounts for about a quarter of the amount available in Britain http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/tm_headline=cannabis-gets-stronger-&method=full&objectid=18610495&siteid=66633-name_page.html
