Monday 12 Mar 2007 Sir, Reading your letter page last Thursday, I was amazed to read about the gentleman in Tayport who's car had been vandalised and who was unable to get a policeman to attend. I then turned over a page only to read about a 68-year-old granny being nicked for using cannabis for herself and friends and being threatened with a jail sentence. Has the world gone mad, or is it just easier to literally grab a granny? No wonder people are leaving this country in their tens of thousands. Bob Duncan Carnoustie.
