Wednesday 28 Mar 2007 POLICE seized £50,000 worth of cannabis after a raid at a Southampton home this morning. A total of 500 plants were seized from the five-bedroom property in the Highfield area of the city. Six police officers swooped on the house at 9am this morning. advertisement The semi-detached property on Chamberlain Road had four of its five rooms and a loft converted into cannabis growing rooms. It is the fourth cannabis factory raided in the city in two weeks. A tenant who is understood to have been living there is helping police with their inquiries. A police spokesman said: "It was a well established site with all the ventilating equipment. It was rented accommodation and the landlord has been informed."
