UK: Hutton admits using Cannabis

BARROW and Furness MP John Hutton today sensationally admitted he had
smoked cannabis while a student at Oxford.

It came after similar admissions by two Home Office ministers.

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith’s confession that she had taken the drug was
followed by the same declaration by Home Office Minister Tony McNulty.

Mr Hutton said: "I smoked cannabis when I was at university over 30
years ago.

"I regret doing it now after seeing in Barrow the damage that cannabis
can cause to young people."

A spokesman for Prime Minister Gordon Brown said it was a matter for
individual ministers “to decide how to answer these questions”.
