UK: Two charged after cannabis factory raids

Evening Star

Sunday 29 Jul 2007

TWO men were due to appear in a Suffolk court tomorrow charged with the production of cannabis after police raided three drug factories.

Dung Dinh Luu, 39, and Tran Quoc Hung, 22, were arrested on Friday as Suffolk police pounced in one of their largest-ever raids.

Lisa Crane, a spokeswoman for Suffolk police, said the pair were scheduled to appear before Bury St Edmunds magistrates for the first hearing of their case.

Luu, of Abbottsbury Road, Bury St Edmunds, and Hung, of Gorse Close, Red Lodge, were arrested after the raids at properties in Bury St Edmunds, Red Lodge and Worlington.

The pair are currently remanded into custody.
