UK: Conference on Cannabis

Saturday 15 Sep 2007 People will be debating issues surrounding the legalisation of cannabis at a conference tomorrow.The annual general meeting and conference of the Legalise Cannabis Alliance (LCA) will take place at the North Staffs Conference Centre, at the Medical Institute, in Hartshill. The LCA conferences have traditionally been held in Norwich, and this is the first time Stoke-on-Trent has been chosen as the group's venue. Cannabis campaigners will be meeting to discuss laws surrounding the use of cannabis, and whether they should be relaxed. Tickets cost £10, and include lunch and drinks. As well as speakers from the UK activist community, there will be a speaker from the European Coalition for Just and Effective Drug Policies. The conference starts at 11am.
