UK: Granddad's cannabis farm
Liverpool Echo Saturday 03 Nov 2007 A WIRRAL granddad caught running a commercial cannabis farm has been jailed for 12 months. William Evans, 61, had never been in trouble before and Judge David Swift said it was very sad to see a man of his age and good character in the dock. Police raided his large semi-detached home in Wallasey on March 13. Judge Swift said they found “what can only be described as a cannabis farm.” Liverpool Crown Court heard in one room they found 100 mature plants and equipment for their cultivation. Evans, of Radnor Drive, Wallasey, admitted producing cannabis. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/
