Australia: 81-year-old woman accused of growing pot

AN 81-year-old woman has been charged with growing and supplying
cannabis after her arrest in a New South Wales town this week.

The woman was arrested on Monday by a police strike force set up last
year to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in Young and
surrounding townships.

Police said the woman was arrested when she turned up at Young police
station and charged with cultivating and supplying cannabis.

She was bailed to appear in Young Local Court on February 5.

Seven people have been arrested in the operation so far.
