---
Police seized 108 grammes of cannabis which they found in a kitchen
drawer at the home of a Swansea grandmother.Late on October 3, officers
had stopped and spoken to a man in Prince of Wales Road, prosecutor
Chris Howells told Swansea magistrates.

He had drugs on him and he told them he had obtained the cannabis from a
property nearby.

When the officers called at the home of Pauline Pinch, she admitted
having drugs and pointed them towards a drawer in the kitchen.

A total of 108 grammes of cannabis resin, split into seven gramme wraps,
was found in the drawer.

Police also recovered a number of snap-seal bags and a tin containing
£80 in cash.

She told the officers she had been selling drugs over the previous three
weeks.

The 47-year-old was, said by her solicitor Andy Owens, to have been
using cannabis for pain relief.

Someone had approached her and she had agreed to sell the drug for profit.

"This was her way of trying to obtain extra money ahead of Christmas,"
he said.

Pinch admitted supplying drugs and possessing drugs with intent to supply.

The court imposed a four-month prison term, suspended for one year and
made her subject to 12 months' supervision.
