UK: Cannabis farm blaze
Manchester Evening News
Thursday 03 Jan 2008 A CANNABIS farm in a Bolton house was destroyed by fire this morning. Police and fire officers were to an address on Townsfield Road, Westhoughton at about 3.50am and once the fire was out, the remains of a cannabis farm were discovered. The fire was caused by an electrical fault as a result of the sophisticated set up of electrical equipment used to run the farm. Detective Chief Inspector George Fawcett from Bolton CID said: “This fire is a clear example of just how dangerous cannabis farms are and the damage they can cause. “The electrical equipment used to run these farms is potentially lethal which is why it is vital that the public pass on any information they have about houses being used in this way. “It is difficult to say how many plants were inside the house as it has been extensively damaged, but it is clear that at least three rooms were being used to store the plants.” http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1030465_cannabis_farm_blaze
