Drug question to be debated
Peterborough Evening Telegraph Sunday 23 Apr 2000 RESIDENTS are being invited to a public meeting to debate whether or not cannabis should be legalised. The event is being held on Wednesday at Norman Road Community Centre, in Easifield, Peterborough, from 7pm. About 1,000 leaflets have been delivered to people in the area inviting them to attend. The Legalise Cannabis Alliance has candidate Marcus Davies standing in the East ward in the forthcoming city council elections. He will be speaking about the drug and his beliefs. The following have also been invited to attend and speak: Alun Buffry, nominating officer, Legalise Cannabis Alliance. Don Barnard, Campaign to Legalise Cannabis International Association, spokesman.
