The Legalise Cannabis Alliance (LCA) will hold their first Party Conference in Norwich on Saturday 4th March.

Entry to the Conference will be for ticket-holders only.

About 100 delegates from across the country are expected to attend.

Speakers will include Steve Pank, Don Barnard, Mark Gibson, Howard Marks, Buster Nolan and Colin Paisley.

The Legalise Cannabis Alliance was registered as a UK Political Party in March 1999.
The LCA has adopted the cannabis leaf as the emblem to be printed on ballot papers.
Alun Buffry is the Nominating Officer. The LCA is administered to by an appointed Executive Committee and collects endorsements to the Principles, Aims and Proposals that are printed in the publication "Cannabis: Legalise and Utilise: A Manifesto and Information Document"

Howard Marks stood in four constituencies as a Legalise Cannabis Candidate in the General Election in 1997: Norwich North, Norwich South, Southampton and Neath.

In 1998, Danny Tungate polled over 7% of the vote as a Legalise Cannabis Candidate in the local authority elections in Norwich.

In 1999, The LCA fielded 5 candidates in the Norwich local elections, attracting about 5% of the vote.

In November 1999, Colin Paisley contested the Kensington and Chelsea by-election gaining 142 votes, coming 8th out of the 18 candidates. Colin Paisley is a member of the Liberal Party which endorsed his campaign.
Previously, Colin Paisley was a Labour Councillor for 17 years and Mayor for one year in Carlisle.

The LCA plan to field many more candidates across the country in the elections this year.

LCA Principles, Aims and Proposals are endorsed by Professionals and Academics including doctors and solicitors.
