Wednesday 03 May 2000 Why I am standing for the legalisation of Cannabis. *I believe that everyone who needs Cannabis as medicine should be allowed to have it free. *I believe that it is wrong to make our country's youth into criminals for using a substance that is known to be beneficial to their well being. *I believe that the growing and use of Cannabis Hemp can eradicate many of the environmental and ecological problems of the world. *I believe that people should be given the freedom of educated choice. Cannabis is also a Valuable food and a cheap, natural and renewable source of environmentally friendly fuel. Cannabis and its derivatives have over 50,000 potential uses Cannabis is spiritual in its essence. I have had my say and would like to give you the chance to have yours and to support my call for the legalisation of cannabis. It is an issue of prime importance locally, nationally and internationally. It is a matter of Rights. MICK PRYCE Until February 1999,1 lived in Mile Cross for five years. During that time, I have served voluntarily on the Mile Cross Area Housing Committee, The Norwich Tenants Contract Managing Committee, The Phoenix Youth Committee and the Mile Cross Community Forum. I am now 52 years of age. I was born in Scotland but moved to England when I was 15. 1 was educated to secondary standard. My main interests are people and their interests and if elected I would serve the local community wholeheartedly as well as try to use my influence to extradite a change in cannabis law.
