Drug Charge Denied
East Anglian Daily Times Friday 26 Oct 2001 An Ipswich man yesterday denied possessing cannabis on the grounds that his home was wrongly searched. John Ramirez , 36, of Farraday Road denied possesing cannabis resin on June 5th this year. At Ipswich Crown Court, Robert Sadd, prosecuting, said Ramirez had raised a human right issue and had therefore pleaded not guilty. Jude Durr, Defending, said Ramirez believed his home was wrongfully searched by police officers. A legal argument is set to be heard at the court on December 12 to resolve the issue.
