Cannabis Candidate Invites Peer Critique Via Internet Don Barnard Press Release Monday 07 Jan 2002 The following information is already in the public domain and is reprinted here for press and public information. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CANNABIS CANDIDATE INVITES PEER CRITIQUE VIA INTERNET While the others' are talking about involving the people in politics and making it more consumer friendly SEE EDITORS NOTES (1). The Legalise Cannabis Alliance is doing something about it: Don Barnard, the Legalise Cannabis Alliance candidate for the forthcoming Braintree District Council by-election 31 January 2002, is pleased to offer an internet bulletin board for the electorate to voice their views. Don said, " Making judgements and laying blame is easy. I believe it's time our communities took an active, positive interest in politics and what our elected representatives and non elected officials are doing in our name. "Braintree town centre is in West Ward. This makes this by-election of importance to everyone in Braintree. "My free bulletin board will give those who feel it's a waste of time voting, bored with politics and armchair critics a chance to have their say without missing Coronation Street or Eastenders. "It will give the youngsters so often accuse of being apathetic and blamed for our problems to bite back and, hopefully encourage them to take more interest in their futures and vote for what they believe in. "The potential is endless; Teachers, students, Councillors, Police, shop keepers, pensioner groups etc.. regardless of political persuasion are encouraged to get involved - It's their town also. And why not?" Full article at: http://www.thescotsman.co.uk/index.cfm?id=442002 SEEMS LIB DEMS' ARE HIGH-JACKING THE LCA CONSTITUTION ALSO? Posted January 7 2002
