Don Barnard [LCA Press officer] said: " In my opinion Worthing police USA
style raid complete with armoured storm troopers wearing bullet proof vests
on the Quantum leap coffee shop was completely unjustified.

Inspector Allan Lowe, in charge of the raid, said "It is important for
public confidence in Worthing that we do take action of this kind."

Mr Barnard said: "I would argue this would depend on the nature of the
complaint and his intelligence gathering...."had the patrons of Quantum
leap been suspected terrorist,. armed robbers maybe. However, in this case I
would suggest, a polite knock on the door and request for co-operation from
a couple of bobbies would more than sufficed.

"Inspector Lowe, should be forced to justify the cost [?] of this
operation.

Kind regards
